We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance and repair of all equipment, machinery, and facilities to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime. This role involves developing maintenance strategies, managing a team of technicians, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards. The Maintenance Manager plays a critical role in supporting production efficiency and aligning maintenance activities with the company’s operational goals.
Main responsibilities:
· Develops and implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs;
· Leads and manages the maintenance (mechanical and electrical) team, including recruitment, training, and performance management to ensure adequate qualifications, skills and knowledge of employees in the department;
· Plans and oversees maintenance activities, major repairs and projects with direct supervision of implementation to minimize downtime;
· Analysis of production stoppages and taking the necessary actions to reduce them;
· Monitors equipment performance, analyzes data, and implements improvements;
· Ensures compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards;
· Collaborates with production and other departments to address maintenance needs;
· Manages the maintenance budget, including cost control, procurement of spare parts and their inventory management;
· Plans and oversees parts and tasks outsourced to external companies, ensuring proper organization and coordination;
· Prepares reports and oversees energy management activities;
· Plans, supervises, coordinates of budgets and participation in the implementation of investment projects;
· Ensures compliance with legal regulations and updates technical documentation to maintain the technical accuracy of equipment;
· Performs inspections, supervises installations, and leads process improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
· University Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or related field); Six Sigma certification is a plus;
· At least 5–7 years in maintenance management, including 2–3 years in a leadership role, preferably in manufacturing or industrial environments;
· Expertise in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, maintenance best practices, safety standards, and continuous improvement methodologies;
· Proficiency in CAD programs is considered an advantage;
· Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams;
· Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills;
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration;
· Analytical mindset for data interpretation and problem-solving attitude;
· Fluent in Bulgarian and excellent English (written and spoken);
· Flexible, adaptable, and able to work under pressure;
· Advanced knowledge and use of MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point).
