We are looking for a highly skilled professional to lead complex engineering and technology initiatives, drive innovation, and ensure the successful delivery of strategic projects. The role “Senior Engineering Technologist” includes advanced technical expertise, high-impact project management, and team mentorship to achieve operational excellence.
Main responsibilities:
· Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs;
· Design, develop, and optimize mechanical, electrical, and process systems; lead PLC programming (would be advantage), integration, and automation optimization;
· Act as owner of planned maintenance (PM03/PM04): routines based on asset criticality (ABC) and FMECA; transition to usage-/condition-based maintenance; manage changes;
· Build and maintain a KPI dashboard; conduct monthly reviews with Maintenance, Production, and Quality; analyze trends, define actions, and track progress;
· Optimize spare parts inventory (min/max via FMECA) and ensure data quality in SAP/CMMS; serve as local SAP-PM/CMMS administrator;
· Diagnose and resolve complex equipment and process issues, minimize downtime, and maximize efficiency; lead Lean/Six Sigma and continuous improvement initiatives;
· Ensure safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance; mentor engineers and technicians; work closely with senior management.
Requirements:
· University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering (or related field);
· Previous experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment; proven track record delivering large-scale engineering projects;
· Expert knowledge of mechanical/ electrical/ process systems, automation and PLC programming (would be advantage);
· Proficiency with engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks);
· Strong Behavioral Safety Culture;
· Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma;
· Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills;
· Strong leadership, project management and communication skills;
· Analytical mindset for data interpretation and problem-solving attitude;
· Fluent in Bulgarian and excellent English (written and spoken);
· Flexible, adaptable, and able to work under pressure;
· Very good command of MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point).
